Essential Functions:
Safe and timely transportation of the supplies, and equipment throughout the facility.
Distributing patient care and office supply needs according to the orders received.
Wear communication device, i.
e.
pager, to be easily contacted and respond quickly.
Maintains standards of quality and neatness.
Keep stools and equipment properly cleaned and maintained.
Resourceful in using good judgment in evaluating needed repairs.
Corrects problems as appropriate or promptly reports all necessary repairs and maintenance issues to appropriate area for correction.
Plans activities to avoid disruption of services when possible.
Notifies staff according to department policy when unable to report to work.
Stripping and cleaning of charged patient rooms.
Interdepartmental transporting of patients.
Acts as a runner for the teams on the floors for supplies and equipment (takes specimens to lab/RT, brings blood units to the ward, obtains late meal trays, and the like).
Maintain equipment with proper care and cleaning after use.
Responsible for the cleanliness, basic upkeep, and infection control throughout the facility and associated clinics.
Performs stat cleans and deep cleanings.
Handle and dispose of infectious waste appropriately.
Move beds and gurneys, steam clean gurneys.
Floor care (strip, scrub, buffing, mop, vacuum, etc.
) completed daily as needed or schedules project with appropriate team member.
Maintains clutter free and clean housekeeping carts and rooms.
Pick up outside trash daily.
May remove loose brush around trees, remove trip hazards like small rocks, sweeps sidewalks, picks up loose paper and other trash from the hospital parking lot, large parking lot across the street and the green areas on the hospital grounds.
Performs light maintenance including, but not limited to, changing screw-in light bulbs and touch up painting of door frames.
Demonstrates knowledge of the following equipment:
Vacuums, wet vacuums, buff L.

, buff H.
S.
, small extractor, large extractor, broom, duster, mops, general floor care machines, carts, bins, various electronics(computers, phones, etc.
), compactor, pressure washer, Hamo washer/decontaminator, various dispensers (paper towel, chemical, soap).
Nursing Equipment you will need to locate includes:
IV pumps, K-pad units, walkers, wheelchairs, cribs, visitor cots, patient beds, SCD's, etc.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Relevant skills and ability may be substituted in lieu of education.
Must maintain USDOT Hazmat certification before working solo or within 30 days of hire Our Mission:
